Is World Cord Blood Day supporting public or private cord blood banking?
Both! The mission of World Cord Blood Day is to educate parents, healthcare providers and the various regulating authorities about the importance of saving and using cord blood stem cells. In today's world, there is a role for both public and private banking. The two systems often compliment each other in terms of research and availability. Both are important in providing options to parents and patients globally, as long as international guidelines and protocols are respected. Learn more about WCBD here.
